RAEK and the CCPA
What is the CCPA?
The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") is a California state law that went into effect on January 1, 2020. This page addresses two parts of the CCPA: (1) the notice and disclosure requirements on businesses, and (2) the individual rights given to California consumers, specifically the rights to access personal information and delete personal information (we offer this through the Claim Your Professional Profile process) and to opt-out of the sale of their personal information (we offer this through the Do Not Sell My Info page).
Can I still use RAEK under CCPA?
How CCPA impacts your business depends on what you do with the personal information you collect, and we recommend each customer do their own evaluation of how any applicable law (including CCPA) affects their business. But as long as you comply with the CCPA as it applies to your business, RAEK will continue to help you succeed in connecting with your customers.
